1. Can my utility deposit be refunded?

A residential deposit may be returned to an individual that has had service for a minimum of twelve months and has obtained “Good Customer” status. The initial deposit and credit history with the Utility Collections Division of the Finance Department will determine if the deposit is returned in one lump sum or spilt into annual payments. Commercial deposits are applied to the final bill at the time the service is discontinued. The commercial customer will receive a refund check for overpayment or a statement for any amounts due.

Yes, simply call 334-615-4100 and select option 2.  Please have your account number number handy when calling.  Dothan Utilities accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
