Investigation Units
The Investigative Services Bureau is organized into two divisions: the Criminal Investigation Division and Vice/Narcotics Division. The Criminal Investigations Division is divided into six specialty units:
- Forgery/Fraud Crimes Unit
- Juvenile Unit
- Property Crimes Unit
- School Resource Unit
- Violent Crimes Unit
The function of Investigative Services is to actively conduct follow-up investigations on reported criminal activity and to initiate investigations involving those offenses related to organized crime, identify persons suspected of criminal activity, and present criminal cases for prosecution or adjudication.
