Forms of Payment

We accept the following forms of payment:

No other forms of payment will be accepted. 

NO PERSONAL CHECKS

If paying by mail, cashier’s checks or money orders are the only acceptable forms of payment. Payments must be received at least 24 hours in advance of your court date; we will not honor postmark dates. Late payments will not be accepted.

PRE-TRIAL DIVERSION PAYMENTS CANNOT BE MADE ONLINE

The City of Dothan Municipal Court accepts the following methods of payment: Cash, Money Order, and Cashier’s Checks, Debit / Credit Cards. We also now offer online payments and payment options over the phone for fine payments, ticket payments and monthly payments. There is a 3.5% service fee assessed by a 3rd party for all Debit /Credit card transactions. The City receives no revenue from this fee; it is only a convenience for our customers. 

If mailing in payment, please reference your case number (or if that is unavailable, please include the defendant’s full name and birth date). The name must be clearly legible to ensure it is posted to the proper account. If you wish to receive a receipt in the mail, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.

If making payments toward DUI/ INTERLOCK, payment must be made by money order or cashier’s check.

Use Drop Box located at the end of the walkway to drop off payment; Remember to completely fill out payment slip in order to ensure payment is posted to proper account and receipt is mailed to you. We cannot mail receipts if payment slip is not filled out.
