Parent & Child Aquatics
The American Red Cross Infant and Preschool Aquatic Program is a water orientation program for children 1 - 3 years. The program is split into two different classes:
- MINNOWS (1-3 years) - adult required in water with each participant
Each class focuses on exploring the water and moving in the water while being safe. The classes are tailored to the age group's individual needs and will prove to be beneficial to your child's water development. It is a $30 fee for a two-week Monday - Thursday day or night class. Please click on DLS CivicRec or call (334) 615-3763 for more information.

The Department of Leisure Services offers American Red Cross Swimming Lessons for children 4 years old through adult.
Child/Youth Swim Lessons are as follows:
- GUPPIES (4 to 5 years) - no adult required in water
- Levels 1 and 2 - Beginner/Water Exploration
- Level 3 - Beginning-Intermediate / Stroke Readiness
- Level 4 - Early Intermediate / Stroke Development

Each level builds on the previous level so we ask that you follow the progression of the levels and not skip levels.
