Commissioner David Crutchfield
David Crutchfield was elected to the Dothan City Commission in a special election held February 9, 2016. He is a longtime resident of Dothan who graduated from Northview High School in 1981, The University of Alabama in 1985 and Troy University-Dothan in 1991.
David is employed as an account manager by RealTime LLC, a provider of managed IT services for businesses in a variety of industries, and a provider of revenue cycle management services in the healthcare sector.
Crutchfield is a graduate of the City's Dothan 101 class, a past member of the Dothan Recreation Board, and a past member and president of baseball's Dothan National League. He has enjoyed serving many seasons as a volunteer coach for the City of Dothan's basketball, soccer and baseball recreation programs.
Commissioner Crutchfield currently serves on the board of directors for Visit Dothan, Dothan Education Foundation and The Harbor.
David's wife, Sonia, is a retired Dothan City School teacher who now works at First United Methodist Church. The Crutchfield’s have two children, Mason and Mitchell, as well as two grandchildren. As active members for the last thirty years of the First United Methodist Church of Dothan, the Crutchfield's continue to serve on many committees in the church and volunteer their time in the community.
