The City of Dothan's Department of Leisure Services and the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries are sponsoring its 15th Annual “Youth Fishing Day” on Saturday, October 6, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Eastgate Park. This free event is for boys and girls ages 5-12 and provides participants the opportunity to learn about fishing through a supervised hands-on experience. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. The pond will be stocked with catfish and participants will need to bring tackle (fishing pole or rod and reel), bait, and stringer.
Door prize drawings will be held at various times during the event.
