[ARCHIVED] Contractors to Begin Assessment of Electrical Poles Throughout Dothan

Dothan Utilities has contracted with Patterson & Dewar Engineering (PDE) to complete a system inventory project beginning Monday, June 15, 2015. As part of the project, PDE will physically access the city’s electrical poles to gather information regarding each pole’s GPS location, record an inventory of all equipment on each pole, and to take pictures.

In order to complete this work, the contracting company will be need to be on the right of way and in residential yards to physically access each pole. The first area that PDE will work in is the area between Denton Road and Reeves Street (inside and outside of the Ross Clark Circle). Employees with PDE will be required to carry a City of Dothan I.D. and their vehicles will be marked with a city contractor placard.

This project is expected to last for 8-9 months. Citizens will be updated throughout the scope of this project regarding future locations where the contracting firm will be working.
