Dothan’s Eastgate Archery Range will be hosting the 6th Annual Alabama Recreation and Parks Association State Archery Tournament August 12, 2017 beginning at 8am.  Teams from Cullman, Tallassee, Hoover, Ozark and Dothan will be competing.  Admission is free.  Participants are ages 10-18.  This event also includes special needs citizens, making up nearly half of the registered shooters.  Some participants will compete in the “Bare bow” and some will compete in the “Open bow” classifications.  Bare bows are limited to 30 pounds or less with no sights or release aids.  Open bows are limited only by arrow speeds.  The tournament will be managed by Dothan’s Department of Leisure Services.
