Safety & Risk Management Division

The safety officer is responsible for ensuring that our employees are provided a safe work environment. Activities include:

  • Investigating all accidents involving city employees
  • Investigating all claims against the City of Dothan
  • Conducting the Employee Safety Committee meetings
  • Conducting department employee safety meeting with all city departments
  • Developing safety policies and procedures for the City of Dothan
  • Conducting safety inspections of the City of Dothan buildings and vehicles
  • Managing the risk management program
  • Responsible for the insurance program
